Microsoft’s AI chatbot, Bing Chat, is being tested on non-Microsoft browsers like Chrome and Safari, expanding its availability beyond Microsoft products.
The expansion aims to reach a broader user base and is currently being tested with select users. The ChatGPT-like experience is powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4 model.
Users have reported limitations in other browsers, such as fewer messages per conversation and character limits compared to the Microsoft Edge version. Microsoft has not provided detailed information about the differences or the global rollout plans.
Additionally, Bing Chat is testing a native dark theme. The chatbot has been integrated into various Microsoft products and will soon be available for enterprise use with data privacy and governance controls. Visual Search, allowing the chatbot to respond to image-based questions, is also being rolled out.
